Creative Direction, Curation & Digital Design
Client: Sal:mender Magazine
Roles: Curator, Art Director & Designer

Decolonising Our Love i. (a love letter from the diaspora).

Sal:mender magazine is a cultural platform exploring diasporic stories through art and philosophical inquiry. The first digital exhibition dived complex themes of identity and self-love, and asked the following question: How can the reaffirmation of Black Caribbean modern identities nurture love and self-acceptance?

In addition to developping the brand’s identity, I designed the interactive website and exhibition, to showcase the recordings and stories of artists: Caroline Japal & Deanna Nelson-Mckie. I  curated, edited the introduction video, and creatively directed the exhibition based on the artists personal memories, and heritage related stories. I 3D-scanned their work, and designed the content for the digital gallery.
